TEAM Schedule Overview


MARCH

Registration & Team Kick-Off Meetings


APRIL-MAY 

 Pre-Season (April 1 – May 31)

  • Up to 8 pre-season activities are allowed during this period. These sessions include skills nights, skills assessments and team bonding before the season.


JUNE-AUGUST

Regular Practice Season (June 1 – Race #1 in Mid-August)

Practices typically follow this format:

  • Monday (PM): 1-hour skills clinic (June–July)
  • Tuesday (AM): 2-hour local trail ride (moves to PM once school starts)
  • Wednesday (AM): 1-hour interval training (High School only — moves to PM once school starts)
  • Thursday (PM): 2-hour trail ride (locations vary — Snowbasin to Park City to local trails)


AUGUST-OCTOBER

Race Season (Mid-August – Mid-October)

  • Practices continue between race weekends to maintain conditioning and teamwork
  • Riders focus on recovery, technique, and pre-race preparation.
  • Races are on Saturdays (state championship is Friday and Saturday) and are typically every other weekend starting in mid-August
  • End of season celebrations

Attendance Expectations

  • Riders attend at least 75% of practices to be considered race eligible.
  • Communication with group coaches via the Slack app is encouraged for any absences.
  • Punctuality is important — arrive early to check equipment and prepare to ride.

Practice Groups

Riders are placed in ability and age-based groups (12–16 athletes each) after the pre-season skills assessment.

Each group is led by certified Ride Leaders and Coaches to ensure safe, structured, and fun practices.

Safety & Preparation

  • Riders must arrive with all required equipment: bike, helmet, water, food, and repair tools.
  • All riders should complete a pre-ride bike safety check before practice.
  • Always follow Ride Leader and Coach instructions during rides for safety and trail respect.
